There is a built in dedicated microprocessor which helps to adjust the prism to maintain a steady image. They are water resistant, shock-resistant rubber coating for a nonslip grip and better durability.

Between the objective lens group and the porro prism a special (vari-angle-prism) is present on each side of the binocular. The shape alters to refract or ‘bend’ the light path by correctly the right amount, thus fully compensating for the vibration. It is this essentially immediate response that effectively suppresses image shake. Canon’s Super Spectra Coating prevents that reflection.
